Description: Iguana leading daily arboreal lifestyle. The largest members of this type has more than 1.5 m in length with an average weight of 4 kg. Iguanas live on average 8 years in natural environments and about 16 years in captivity. They breed up to 4 times a year by laying eggs.
Food: Iguana exclusively herbivorous animals and prefer the grass, flowers and succulent young shoots of trees.
Habitat: Tropical regions of the earth with a very warm, humid climate.
Interesting fact: In addition to the two usual eyes iguana has a third eye on the top. With it, she can pick up movement approaching predator. And its powerful tail she uses as a weapon for self-defense.
