Who are the red-handed tamarins

We are often asked, what kind of new animals are they? Are they monkeys or bears or some other kind? We answer, tamarins are small monkeys of the Callitrichidae family.

However, unlike large monkeys, they have no fingernails on their fingers, but there are small claws. The weight of an adult animal does not exceed 500 g with a body length of 20 to 28 cm.

A native of the tamarin from South America, where they live in dense tropical forests. Unfortunately. Nowadays their native habitats are cut down, which threatens to reduce the species in this area.

But thanks to their amazing ability to adapt, we can absolutely not be afraid for the fact that the tamarins will disappear from the face of the earth, at least in the coming years 200 for sure.
